Porvoo

I’m going to write something about my hometown, Porvoo. I was with my friend Mila taking photos about the Old Porvoo and Porvoo’s centre. Porvoo is the second oldest town in Finland. There are so many places to see, but I’m going to tell you about a few places.

There are Porvoo’s old railway, which isn’t online anymore. But in summertime there goes Lättähattu -train couple times at month.

This is a very old train, and it’s not online anymore. It’s more like sightseeing.

Next to railway, there is very old shop, Porvoo’s old hardware store. In the old town have other shops too.

 

This is artillery weapon, and it’s not used anymore! You can only watch it.

There is Porvoo’s church. And some people live in the old town, as you may see there is other people homes. Porvoo’s water isn’t the cleanest..

This sign leads you to the place you want to go :). I have lived my hole time in Porvoo and even I can’t still remember where to go in old Porvoo.

This is a toy shop Riimikko. And you may noticed those chairs, the red one is for princess and the blue one for prince.

The toy shop is in that street. This is like a merchants’ alley. In that street is so much other shops too :). These shops are old fashioned. Isn’t it beautiful at Christmas ?

This is Brunberg, yum! It’s the candy shop, and these sweets are the Porvoo’s special :D.

This place it’s called Jokiranta. In summer you can just sit there and eat ice cream.

This is Lundi. The place where almost all teenagers hang around. There is clothes shop, food places, hairdresser, food shop and everything else :).
