Old Porvoo

At this post i’ll tell you what kind of place is Old Porvoo.

Porvoo is the second oldest town in Finland. It’s quite small town, but i like it. Here is a lot of old houses, and almost every house has a interesting history. I think  the church is the most interesting building in Porvoo. The church is over 200 years old! It has been burned several times but it has been fixed and not it looks great! The Cathedral church organizes a lot of weddings, funerals  and christenings in addition to worships. It’s also very popular destination. There’s also a little church where there are worships sometimes too.

 One very interesting building in Porvoo is The old town hall (Vanha raatihuone) . It’s the most important building at Porvoo and it’s have a long history. It has been built years 1762-1764, by Gotthard Flensborg. There was a long time ago the town government, the council and the constabulary. The old town hall is nowdays a museum.
